Elder Care Bill of Rights

At Ambassadors, we feel there are certain inalienable rights that all individuals have with respect to their care. The elderly are certainly no exception. In fact, elderly senior citizens have especially earned the rights as relevant members of society. As Ambassadors, we see ourselves as advocates of those rights.



1. The elderly have the right to live at the highest level of independence possible.

2. The elderly have the right to dignity and respect, regardless of their living environment.

3. The elderly have the right to live in a safe environment.

4. The elderly have the right to care by qualified personnel.

5. The elderly have the right to personalized care, whether in the home or a facility.

6. The elderly have the right to compassionate care and companionship.

7. The elderly have the right to care by carefully screened personnel who have their best interests in mind.

8. The elderly have the right to reliable service, especially when living alone in the home environment.

9. The elderly have the right to voice their opinions and complaints and for those voices to be heard.

10. The elderly have the right to privacy of their personal and medical information.
